step by step
The journey to our business card design.
The past year we have been super busy as we took on new opportunities,
big dreams and designed over 50 different business card concepts JUST FOR OURSELVES .
If it isn’t obvious by now we love designing and being creative. We ride the wave of new creative ideas every day (more than once) which can be a blessing and a curse. We never stop exploring creatively.
When it comes to the brands we work on we step in exploring the vision we have for the brand, craft and enjoy the outcome. However, when it comes to creating work for ourselves we only end up feeling frustrated as nothing ever feels quite good enough for the different visions we have. We struggle to be objective and end up abandoning any and all explorations we though ‘might be it’.
Fear not we have found a solution to our endless struggle of being over the design or at least a step in the right direction. We decided to get back to basics and play around with the feelings we explore in the moment of crafting.
Our step by step process below.
Step 1 :
Make stamps with all the super important stuff.
Step 2 :
Source some pretty paper.
Step 3 :
Slice it up.
Step 4 :
Stamp away!
Step 5 :
Get crafty!
This gives us the freedom to add a personal touch to each and every business card plus it gives us an opportunity to rekindle and restore. The concept does not only push us to experiment with what we have & feel in the moment but also helps us to explore different textures and techniques that will add value to the sensory experience of a potential client.
